Doug graduated from University MidAmerica Nazerene University (MNU) with a BA in Computer Science in December of 1995.  He worked at MNU in the Information Technology office and then later as the university's first Webmaster from 1995-2000.  In July of 2000 he accepted a position with Hagen Software Inc. which is based in Washington, DC.  Due to the convenience of the Internet, he is able to work from his home.

He enjoys music, movies, books, woodworking, ATV riding, target shooting, and occassionally cooking.  You can typically see what Doug is listening to at his last.fm profile page.  You can also see some of his favorite artists on his website.

Doug watches about 3-6 new movies a week.  That adds up pretty quickly as you can see.  As for his favorite movies, he has posted a list of about 25 of his favorites.  Included there is also include a brief rationale of why he likes each movie.  Doug is not the sort of person who can tell you what one film is his favorite.  There is a group of movies that he really likes, a group that he enjoys and then a group of movies that he considers average.  It's not that he does not like or enjoy the average movies, it's just that there's nothing in them that particularly sets them apart as unique.

Doug has been married to his lovely wife Rhonda for 18 years.  He has three children (Christopher (18), Thomas (14) and Jessica (15)) which you can see elsewhere on the Student Pages on the Saltshaker School website.
